Donations and Scholarships for the Community

the Institute is also involved in helping ensure a new generation of public servants is educated to serve the public. Our Public Service Scholarship is available to students in member communities. Applicants must intend to pursue a degree in a field of local government public service (public administration, public works, criminal justice, fire science, social work, education, etc.). In addition. The applicant must be attending an accredited college or university in Iowa or Nebraska, with a preference for applicants attending community college. Colleges or universities in other states may be approved upon request. Each scholarship will be for a minimum of $500. Additional awards and amounts will be considered for particularly strong applicants. Awardees will be notified directly, and an announcement will be sent to the local school and newspaper.
